What is the most difficult thing about love?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 12, 2008:
The most difficult thing about being in love, for me at least, is being seperated. This happens frequently for me because my boyfriend is in the army. When both knew it would be difficult and it would be a long distance relationship, and things were going fine when he was on base, but in getting ready to be deployed he couldn't call me as often (either from being sick, exahusted, or just work seventeen hours a day).
Also, love has its ups and downs naturally. If you have extreme highs in love, you have to have extreme lows to balance it out. That is hard as well. Fortunately we are working through that together, and when 2010 comes around we can be happiliy together again. Yes, we will have to work through the post-deployment phase, but that's why we have each other. Love is all about compromises and being able to bring out the best in each other. I think we fulfill that and I believe that if we continue to support each other we can easily overcome the seperation obstacle. As cliche as it may sound...Love will see us through!
